I bought this soundbar for the low price of 200 dollars and to be honest the quality is so clear and the base and the sound is impeccable sounds like a symphony in your room the carpet wrapped around the ported box is sleek and no matter where you sit it's like your at a concert when playing music and like your in the movie when watching one and also the soundbar supports arc so pretty much hassle free when installing to other devices that have the arc port not to mention you can tap a supported device and the soundbar will offer you the option to play media device through your soundbar which was built for video and music the dynamic setting configures the best and appropriate setting for optimal performance and sound quality. I highly recommend this soundbar especially because the fact it has Dolby 5.1 and you can buy the subwoofer and rear speakers at a different time and with or with out the extra speakers it is good enough on its own the best I've had and heard for the price and you can't beat the price thank you samsung for making such a high quality soundbar without breaking my bank!!!

Sounds great; terrible remote pairing

I bought this soundbar after giving away one that's remote would not pair with my Samsung TV. I thought that getting one from the same manufacturer would solve my paring problem. It did pair with the TV, but it does not provide continuous pairing nor proper volume control. Additionally, the control buttons on top of the soundbar are extremely difficult to see (same color as fabric covering).

Great All In One Soundbar

Was in the search for an all in one soundbar for our Samsung TV and it was a no brainer to go with the HW-S50A. Easy link up straight out of the box to our Samsung TV through Bluetooth. It came with the HDMI cable (currently used with) but unfortunately no optic cable. Sound is clear and loud compared to just TV speakers. Various modes to choose from for different experiences (DTS Virtual mode our favorite), all great sound and the ability to adjust bass is great. As for the look we got the grey model and it goes great with any decor in our opinion. Does have a fabric texture which looks nice and feels nice as well. Box came with mounts so you can have it lifted under or over TV. Overall this is an amazing soundbar and we are happy we went with this model. Highly Recommend!

I don't know much about Sound bars, my first was a JBL, it was a piece of junk. I have a Samsung phone & TV, that are great, so I picked up this sound bar, it was not a mistake. There is just one thing I think I would add or change, the lights when you adjust the sound, etc, they should also be on the side so when you do an adjustment you can see them. Just a thought?

The packaging for this soundbar was very nice and compact. Unboxing was fun and everything was in it's correct place. I'm impressed with the look and feel of the materials surrounding the speaker. Connecting to the TV was easy. The sound was instantly much better than my previous sound bar. I like the ergonomically-designed but simple-featured remote with it's toggle buttons for volume and bass. The sound quality is quite crisp and clear but doesn't have much bass thump. The manual suggests that a separate subwoofer is optional (I wish I had that to accompany this speaker)! The bluetooth connects well with phones, tablets and even Alexa. The size of the speaker is a bit wider (fatter) than I'd like so it barely stays on the mantle below my TV. It does have some adequate metal brackets for mounting to a wall but doesn't allow much versatility in positioning. I wish this speaker had a light on the front of it that would blink to indicate power or user-interface remote inputs. Overall, I'm impressed with this speaker's looks, quality of construction and especially the sound! I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest feedback!

Both work find and have great sound. We prefer the direct connection as you don't have to keep reconnecting the speaker every time the TV turns back on. Great Product.

Great sound even without the wireless subwoofer. Adaptive sounds gives you the best sound but I found myself going back to DTS//virtual setting ever time. Set up was easy and we were enjoying great sound. The center channel provides clarity to voices and dialogue. I had a 7.1 system before and the special effects and surround sounds would drown the dialogue. I tried HDMI connection and also the digital cable and was satisfied with both. My tv recognized the soundbsr and I was also able to easily connect to fire cube. Very please with the sound, the look and performance. The grey cloth material looks expensive and matches our furniture.

I love this elegant S series sound bar with loud sound for the size and navigation simple to operate. I mostly use it with my TV to play news and movies streaming live on my bedroom and my favorite is the 3D sound. The professionally package speaker come with a wall mount kit, however we did not use it since a desk-top was already perfectly placed under my TV. Connection and initial startup is simple using an optical cable.

Great Soundbar

This soundbar worked seamlessly with my Amazon Fire Cube because as soon as it was connected, all I had to do was tell Alexa to connect to the Samsung Soundbar. She immediately said, "Searching and the sound that came out of it was awesome! The room was filled with magnificent sound and I opted to use the Bluetooth connection because it was very simple. The Wi-Fi connection is also great. When watching my favorite series or movies, I was extremely surprised that I noticed the difference in the sound quality when using the soundbar instead of the television speakers. Great job, Samsung!

The popcorn to your TV

Soundbars for TV's are like popcorn for your Movie Theatre experience. You don't need it, but you are missing the experience if you don't have it. I've been using a competitor brand soundbar for around 3 years now and I can no longer go back to not having one. For those of you that have more than one monitor for your computer at home or at work, you know once you go more you can never go down again. This Samsung soundbar has amazing immersive sound with the Dolby Digital 5.1 DTS Virtual:X it will seem like you are there! It completely surrounds you in a 3D sound effect. It encompasses you from in front, both sides and even bounces off the ceiling. There is a dedicated center speaker that enhances the dialogue, so you don't have trouble hearing the dialogue over the noisy background noises or explosions. Built in Adaptive Sound Lite will optimize what you are listening to whether it is sports, games movies, music and more. You can connect the TV to this soundbar multiple of ways, there is an included HDMI cable, supported Bluetooth or the optical cable (not included) but it has the port available. Beside for all the functionality of the soundbar being amazing, the aesthetics are beautiful for a soundbar. To sum it up if you are looking for a high quality soundbar with amazing sound clarity and great value this is the soundbar for you.
