Sound quality

the bar sound quality is great but a few issues are annoying. 1. there is only a limited amount of volume range you can adjust with using the tv remote or direct tv remote you have to constantly grab the soundbar remote to get volume where you need it. 2. annoying part is the sound tends to have to be turned up after being on a certain channel after a while then when you change channels it is way too loud which item #1 becomes a bigger problem.

Alexa Functionality Is Terrible

alexa functionality and does not work properly. this is a consistent problem as i am now on my second brand new sound bar and having the same issues. sent the second back to get repaired and still have the same problem. when playing music through alexa, the music cuts out for a second every other minute and this has happened on two different devices. also, alexa capability of hearing your commands it horrible. you have to be right next to the sound bar and yell at the device for alexa to hear your command. do not buy this sound bar and its worth spending the extra dollars on a bose or sonos sound bar. extremely disappointed in the customer support from samsung as well.

Frustrating Soundbar

it's frustrating because it is a very nice sounding and attractive soundbar, but very difficult to use. there is no display, so setting changes are shown with a combination of lights and voices. most frustrating is that it does not pair with my 2017 samsung tv's remote control. i have it on the "cyan" light setting and it won't connect. i see other's have this same issue on other reviews.

Great Performance for the price

This Samsung Sound Bar sounds great. Especially when compared to competitors' sound bars that cost several times more. Audio from cable TV, Blu-Ray and streaming services are equally good. The low profile lets it blend into the background. The sound is full and fills the room. This is surprising given the small form factor. Recommend the S60T.

Great Soundbar

I waited a few days to do this review to be able to do a more detail review, first impressions it is small 30X 5.5 inch and it disappears in front of my 65-inch Samsung TV it was super easy to set up, I'm a SmartThings ecosystem user which was really Cool to use all my devises in one app, stream music from my phone is very simple and works great. I own a Yamaha sound system ADVENTGE home theater to compare sound and a cheaper Yamaha sound bar. The sound of HW-S60T is amazing for the price music sound great and clear, after watch some TV shows and movies the voice is super clear to hear even better than my 9.2 Dolby Atmos set up. Now it doesn't have a Low bass punch but Samsung sell a Wireless Sub that you can pair with. Overall great for a small room and if you don't want the complexity of a surround system, it those a great job for listen to music and will be a great upgrade for a TV speaker and it comes with Alexa integrated which works great and don't need an extra echo device if you are Amazon Prime member you will enjoy it plus is very cool just ask for you favorite tunes with out a touching anything.

Incredible Sound

We received this during the same week that we all came down with COVID-19 so we delayed our review and didn't do a video of unboxing as we had to do it in phases between naps lol. We are all up and running now and we are really enjoying the sound bar. I can hear so many more details than I could with the old system. I Love it and look forward to listening to many more concerts and watching more movies. Easy set up , good value

Great soundbar for the money, awesome sound, pared right with my phone. The only thing I didn't like was the hdmi cable that came with it , when plugged in yo my Samsung TV wouldn't recognize it, so I went out and purchased that little square sound cable it works perfectly.

I had the pleasure of experiencing the great room-filling sound quality of the Samsung Soundbar. The setup was easy as I watched it being taken out of the box and connected to the TV. My friends came over to watch an NFL football game and they all thought that we had woofers hidden in the room somewhere and when I quickly explained that the sounds were coming from the soundbar connected to the living room television, they were completely shocked because everyone was curious to know how a small soundbar could generate high-performance sound quality without separate woofers. I let them know that the woofers were inside the well-designed Samsung Soundbar! Everyone asked if they could test some of the features and I passed the remote around the room. We went from standard sound all way through to digital. My friends were also amazed with the fact that the soundbar can be connected wirelessly with it Bluetooth feature. One friend commented by saying, "We have a soundbar too but it does do that on our smart TV and I said, "You should tell your parents all about the features of this soundbar and they definitely want to replace their current one. The feature that really impressed me was the ease of using it with Alexa by downloading the Smart Things App to my iPhone. The soundbar connected seamlessly when I asked Alexa to turn the TV on. I played with the soundbar everyday to ensure that I could use all the features and it definitely exceeds my expectations since I live in a technological world that is ever-changing.

Good Quality

Sound is very good, definitely does sound like surround sound sometimes. The volume changes are much smaller than other soundbars I've had but sound is more consistent through different apps/gaming, etc. I like that it connects via bluetooth instead of being wired because I have so much connected to my TV already, less wires is good. I have not used the alexa built in voice assistant or used it to connect to my phone. I typically don't use voice controls so this is not beneficial to me. I also have not used the remote as I set it up to connect to my tv remote, but I guess it would be convenient for some people. For me, I prefer less remotes. I think the price for this product is high for what you get. I am surprised it cost so much and didn't even come with a subwoofer. It's definitely better quality than my previous one and better sound than just using the tv though. If you have the extra money to spend, it's worth it.

Compact Speaker with Full Room Sound

I really enjoyed trying out this speaker in multiple rooms. First off, it was easy to get connected to SmartThings and Alexa apps. I was not able to connect this to an older Samsung TV but with the Samsung Frame TV it was seamless. Mobile connecting with my phone was just like adding any other Bluetooth device which provided great sound quality while streaming music. I even used it to provide sound while watching a Football game which came through clear with no disruptions. The unit provided different modes for Sports, Music and Movies to synchronize with what you are watching. The remote is simple to use and the soundbar with respond audibly (Mode) or using a visually (Volume) depending on what you are controlling. The design is appealing with a soft covered speaker with sound coming from the top and sides. While not as powerful as my 7.1, I still thought it provided full sound through out the whole room. It can connect to a sub-woofer if you need the extra base. Looks natural when mounted under the TV or on top of an entertainment center. I would recommend this for home or apartment usage because it gives great sound by itself but also versatile if you want to use additional speakers/sub for full surround quality.

Good Soundbar

For the price, it's pretty good. It's easy to setup and the bluetooth connection is quick. The sound is good. The subwoofer is good, but the bass is not as strong as I would like it. The sound does fill up the room and the soundbar comes with everything you need, including an HDMI cord. I like that they even give you parts to install it on a wall because it is pretty big and takes up space. I like the color and design of the soundbar, but the remote is a little bit tricky to open when replacing the batteries. The sound is good, especially if your TV doesn't get loud enough. The volume gets really loud with the soundbar. The directions are clear and easy to read and the soundbar isn't heavy, so you can place it wherever you want.

Stylish and Elegant Soundbar

The S60T Soundbar is simply amazing. From the unpacking onward, it is very easy to setup. The soundbar is quite lightweight. It complements the TV setup very well. With the QLED TV, it seems like it is the perfect match for this TV. The setup was a breeze and I connected the Soundbar with Bluetooth within a minute. I like the packaging because it is compact. One of the things I also like is the availability to mount the soundbar. Sound is fantastic. I am amazed to see that this is such a small soundbar but still it fills up the room with such quality sound which is commendable. Bass is deep and it is very easily supported by the soundbar. I have tried YouTube videos to check the sound quality and it is perfect. I would completely recommend this soundbar to my friends and family members.

Great Sound

The Samsung S60T is truly an integrated all-in-one soundbar. The soundbar comes in a handy rectangle box with a handle which makes it easy to transport. It is nicely packaged for protection and comes with only a few cords to hook up. This soundbar is compact, is about 36" and is very stylish, sure to blend in with any décor. It stands on its own (or comes with a wall mount, I didn't use) has rounded corners and a fabric face that holds the power button and led on top of the unit. This S60T Samsung soundbar is extremely easy to hook up. I connected the power cord and the adapter into the power and the soundbar. Then I plugged the HDMI cord into the back of the soundbar and the fitting on the TV. After adjusting the TV to search for my new soundbar, it worked. It was that easy. The remote control for the Samsung TV and the soundbar look exactly alike. I would have liked to use the TV or sound remote to make adjustments. It is hard to see the led colors on the top of the soundbar from a seated position. But once it was up and running, I only needed the DirectTV remote. The sound is very crystal clear and the volume is terrific compared to the TV alone. It is not a full-bodied surround sound, like some more costly soundbars, but it is very enjoyable to watch TV, movies or listen to music with the Samsung S60T. The Samsung S60T All-In-One soundbar works great and does what it claims. This is a great soundbar for someone who doesn't want to fool with a bunch of cords or fine tuning, and looking for a no muss no fuss, great sound and budget friendly soundbar.

If you're in the market for a sound bar that gives souround sound feel with out the subwoofer this is it! It really can be heard at different angles and gives you that movie theater surround sound feel which is really cool! The only problem I've had is it cannot be found when connecting with bluetooth which is a bummer. Overall good for the money!!

The look and design is sleek and modern! Button are integrated in the bar and it has every option for connectivity. I like the Bluetooth connectivity and you can also connect other speakers to it via bluetooth, that is something I didn't know about this little sound bar. Connectivity was very easy less than five minutes for the TV and phone. It's even easier if you have a samsung and you use the "Smart Things" App. It has great sound coming out of it the bass and treble are more than decent, I place the volume as high as it can go and there was no distortion on the speakers they were able to handle the db. I've been using it for over a week and there is a small issue with the connectivity with my TV the sound does break in out for a split second now and then not really a time thing it's random but it is noticeable it didn't happen when I had my phone (Note 8) connected to it. no other issues, yet. I will be purchasing a subwoofer as an addition to it, and it will be connected bluetooth not expecting any issues there.

i'm glad this was free. i've put my old panasonic back on tv. the sound bar from tv is lower then alexa so when you ask alexa anything it's like she yelling at you. tv sound sets alexa off as well. part from that it is a good sound i just use it as a bluetooth alexa speaker. look up on the sound issue before you buy

This is a great entry level soundbar, for the average user. The sounds are rich and clear. Set up was a breeze, and the HDMI arc ability helps with controlling the sound with my Samsung tv's remote. It defenitly outperforms standard TV speakers. With the ability to add a subwoofer to this sound bar, i'm positive the bass would sound deeper and richer. However, even without the subwoofer this soundbar has great sound. I was very impressed with the adaptive sound in the various sound mode selections. Overall, this soundbar does a great job for music, movies and video games.

We received this speaker about a week after paying for it and the first thing I noticed was that this came in its original box with no kind of cover to hide what the product was. I couldn't believe with it being an electronic they would send it that way. I will say it looks nice and sleek and modern and looks awesome on my entertainment center next to my other electronics. There was a downfall however when we opened the box and started setting this up to my LG 50 inch flatscreen LED TV we ran into an issue right away because this did not include an optical plug. I have never heard of an optical cord before this instance but apparently we needed one in order to get this to work with our TV. I could pair it with my Apple iPhone with no issues but as far as using it with my TV which is what I bought it for there was no luck. That was a huge bummer because I had to let it sit in the box for a week until I got the cord in the mail after having to pay about $20 for one. Other than that everything has been nice and smooth sailing and we are very happy with our soundbar! It sounds awesome it looks awesome and so far has been holding up amazingly. I have no complaints and usually Samsung has been a nice steady brand that doesn't fail me. I am so happy to get to have tried this out!!

Soundbar good for space issues

This soundbar is good for tight small spaces. Its all in one piece without the need for extra bass box speaker. This is a good speaker just lacking a little in the bass because of an all in one but samsung does a great job of putting it all in one. The remote was helpful in adjusting to customization. Volume isn't that high as it could be but adequate for the size of this device. Perfect for smaller rooms as it doesn't take up hardly any space. Small and very usable and portable if need be. I would recommend.

I must say I am pretty impressed by the sound from this sleekly designed soundbar. The quality of sound in this soundbar would make you think there are other speakers hidden somewhere, but such is not the case. Tones are rich and bass is deep, yet the soundbar is sleek, stylish, and unsuspecting. By using the Arc connection I am able to control the soundbar with my Samsung TV remote, which is great as it means one less remote! The sound and performance of this soundbar impressed me. The only negative things I have to say about the package has nothing to do with the sound. To me, the directions were a bit confusing. I consider myself tech savvy but I still had some problems. I first tried to use an optical cable from my Samsung TV to my soundbar and it did work. However, I could not use my Samsung TV remote to control the volume, meaning I would have to have a separate remote for volume. I was able to use the included HDMI cable and use my ARC connection though. It did take me some time to figure out how to get all of that sorted and the directions were not much help. I would have preferred to use my optical cable as this would free up an HDMI connection on my TV for other use. All in all though I am very happy with the soundbar. I love that it turns on and off with my TV and the sound it produces. I just wish the directions were a bit more clear.

Impressive sound for smaller bar

I just purchased this soundbar about 3 weeks ago. I have it connected to my 75" LG TV and I have been impressed for both it size and price. I have been watching movies as well last concerts on TV and it is substantially better than any TV that I've heard. I get a much more substantial bass as well as nice surround sound in a compact footprint. The install was incredibly easy and I just have it hooked up with an optical cable. I have not switched on my DVD player for it but hope to shortly. Overall this was a great value for the money.

The Samsung HW-S60T 4.0ch All-in-One Soundbar produced some truly amazing sound. It was very easy to set up and works seamlessly with my Alexa-enabled devices. In comparison to my previously purchased soundbar, I can definitely say, "This soundbar rocks, and the room is filled with superior sound that everyone enjoys on a daily basis especially during this pandemic where we all spend lots of time working and spending quality time together. Happy With my Samsung Soundbar

My wife and I chose the new Samsung S60T to upgrade our family room football watching experience. What a great addition. We have seating that is spread out and have found that the S60T covers all our seating with a great sound experience. We have chosen to use a digital optical connection to our TV and the quality is phenomenal. This soundbar was easy to setup. (Less than 5 minutes) We picked S60T because it comes with the wall mounting bracket so we can eventually wall mount our TV and the soundbar. Additionally, we liked that we can add other rear speakers to this soundbar later. Overall very pleased with the product.

much needed improvement

This S60 sound bar was a much needed improvement over the sound coming from my TV. It was super easy to set up and it connects to my TV via blue tooth, so no annoying extra wires anywhere. The sound is fantastic! Now when I watch movies on my TV, it feels and sounds like I'm in an actual movie theater! When I use it for gaming it truly is mind blowing now! Also quality of materials used is top notch! I highly recommend this to anyone who is still using just the sound from their TV!

The Samsung HW-S60T All-in-One Soundbar is exactly what I needed and wanted in enhancing my home theater experience. The sound is absolutely amazing, fills my family room with great quality sound. From watching a movie, a comic stand up or listening to music this has made everything so much better. Very easy to setup the bar and it does not take up too much room, perfect fit on my entertainment center but you can also wall mount it. Easy connect with bluetooth to my iPhone and the SmartThings app is very user friendly. I really like the hands free Alexa as I can turn on music when I am busy cleaning. I did have to purchase the optical cable, which I had researched prior to getting the bar, as I have an older Samsung tv so you should check your model so you do not drive yourself nuts during setup. I am extremely happy with this sound bar as it has taken our entertainment experience to the next level. Definitely recommend!

Exceptional Sound

I cannot say enough about my Samsung Soundbar. I really love to get lost in the stories that I watch on television and this soundbar allows me to do just that. The enhanced sound is clear and crisp and has no distortion whatsoever. I am able to easily here background sounds in the movies I watch, birds chirping, footsteps approaching and even other characters whispering that are not in the video frame. This is very exciting as I cannot tell you how much it adds to the stories being told. And the music, I cannot say enough about the musical scores that I know can hear every instrument being played, simply amazing. The hook-up of the soundbar was a breeze - two wires and done. So very simple to do that from the opening of the box to actual use was no more than ten minutes. I highly recommend the purchase of the Samsung soundbar S60T.

Great Sound For the Money

The soundbar was simple to set up. It took maybe 5 minutes to pair it up with my TV. From there, I was able to change the various sound types with easy. The sound quality is crip and clear, making this soundbar an excellent value for the money. I would expect that a soundbar of this quality to be way more expensive. So, I highly recommend this soundbar for anyone who wants to greatly upgrade their sound quality over mediocre tv speakers at a great value.

When it first came in my family had Covid, so it sat for a week and 1/2. We finally got the energy to get going on it and were setting up on our old tv in the family room with its age it removed the Roku stick and was able to fire it right up. , shhh Santa is bringing us a new tv for Christmas , so I am looking forward to complete sound and picture then . Right now the sound is amazing, my old ears hear everything, we watched an old Led Zeppelin concert and then an Eagles concert. Very intricate sound. I am very happy with this purchase

The Samsung HW S60T was easy to set up and depending on the age of your TV everything you need is included in the box. The TV I originally wanted to connect it to was an older model Samsung that did not have an HDMI ARC plug so I had to buy an Optical Digtal Audio cord. Small price to pay for nearly perfect sound. I have 80 % hearing lost in one ear which makes it very hard for me to filter out background noise. However, with the soundbar, I can keep up with the dialog on my show and not have to hush my toddler. I am so pleased with the sound quality. When playing music the bass booms while the lyrics are crystal clear.

Decent looking soundbar with good sound

i hate the way soundbars look. this one at least looks ok. sound is good, but it's not going to be anywhere near as good as a tower speaker. no soundbar is. they're made to be better than your tv speakers and these do that very well. no surround support for 5.1 or 7.1 so look elsewhere if you're going for that. really love hdmi-arc since it supports most of the dolby digital formats and i no longer have to have a separate remote to control it. my tv remote now controls the soundbar. extra remotes is always a very annoying thing about external sound. it will not connect to a regular hdmi port so if your tv does not have a hdmi-arc output then i would go with a cheaper soundbar since you won't be able to take advantage of the best features anyway.

RC is not working properly

the remote control is not user friendly. it was doa. can i get a replacement r/c? i am not getting the surround sound quality i expect. it sounds almost my tv. the price should have been lower. it would be nice if you can see the settings on the screen. good thing smartthings app is useful for the controls.

i have had this unit for a couple of months 1st thing i noticed was the remote has a 2 foot range at most. 2nd the sound quality is lacking at first it was full but over the last few weeks i have to keep turning up constantly my echo device has better sound 3rd the alexa device is extreamly to loud compared to the tv audio so i keep it muted the hdmi audio never worked so i had to use optic this unit might be ok if you want an over priced speaker to have in a garage but defiantly not home audio quality

the sound is strong and boisterous, voices from programs are clearer and blue tooth audio is outstanding for music. built in alexa is a feature i refuse to use, and is easily disabled with the touch of a button. all in all, very nice.

Great Sound Bar For Price

not sure about all the bad reviews from people. i happen to have a usb adapter and force updated the sound bar firmware open first purchase and have no issues with my soundbar but the bar is supposed to auto update on it's on. maybe those with bad reviews don't have updated firmware for the sound bar yet. would like the option for multiple or different voice assistants and an hdmi out but overall a good purchase.

Two soundbars, both distort and soundbar

i purchased one of these and it started to distort. it was so horrible, i packed it up and sent it back immediately. ordered a second one thinking i had a bad bar, now the second one just started distorted. im done with samsung. no other electronics company has had issues like this even after gettijg an exchange. its annoying. the quality of samsungs products have significantly diminished over time. its really absurd to have to waste my time and aend back two soundbars. never again samsjng.

Static Noise

Very Disappointed

I bought this less than a week ago and immediately experienced issues with it. The first issue was that I would not connect to my SmartThings app on my phone. Then the speaker began spewing out static as well as the tone of the voices transmitted from the TV sounded like a broken robot. Have submitted a service request and will hope to get this fixed. Very disappointed about this.

This is my first Samsung device and when I saw that it had Alexa enabled, I was sold. The setup was very easy and was fairly simple to link to my Alexa account as well. The sound is great and I can already tell it has the ability to get loud for movies and then also for music through Alexa. Lastly, I wish I could pair it to my other Alexa devices, I know you can do that with some other soundbars, but I hope they enable some of those features in the future.
