I bought three pairs and was very excited because my daughter got AirPods and I got three pairs for less than the AirPods. Very disappointed the first pair I charged for 4 hours and then used them for ten minutes and they were dead. Recharged them again thinking I did something wrong and the charge took forever and when it finally charged it lasted an hour so when I go to the gym I have to bring two sets of headphones. I gave the second pair to my son he has fully charged his and then he brought them to work and the same. Charge lasted an hour and that was it. Very disappointed I bought a pair for my dad the third pair but won't give it to him because I am going to try and send them back. Very disappointed by these

I am on my 5th set being warrantied in the first year of ownership. 3 done in local att store and 2 being done through Samsung because att cant get these anymore. I love the product and design and features. One earbud always seems to go out and lose all sound i have had it happen on every set so far. the last set stopped taking a charge from the case so thats not as bad. I hope Samsung does a remake on these and offers partial trade in.

I got these for my birthday Sep 2016, and they were awesome; however, I am lucky if I get 90 minutes off of a full charge on the batteries. So when I work out, I have to bring back up ear buds for when these conk out. It is terrible. Is there a work around or did I just get a bad set?

I work from home a lot and like to tune out those around me or the television that is constantly blaring, but still am up and around so my boyfriend got me these for Christmas so I wouldn't have to unplug. The first time they were great! Stayed perfectly in my ear, then I get the in-ear warning that I had 10% battery remaining til they finally turned off a little over an hour later. Maybe I didn't have them charged all the way? Tested it again another night with a full battery. Lasted an hour and a half. Okay, maybe play with just one ear while charging the other (which defeats the purpose of drowning everything out). I thought I had it! But no, you select a main ear, so the second you take that one out to charge and wear the other one, the Bluetooth disconnects! (All tests were performed while streaming. I didn't upload any music so I wouldn't have to perform a reset if I returned them. I have heard the battery lasts up to 3 hours with uploaded music, not streamed, which still isn't acceptable for me.) Finally decided to take them back. A note on the charger: once the lights are green that indicate they're charged, leave the case open, otherwise it will re-drain. Leave it in your bag to charge wirelessly and you'll have some dead earpieces. I have not given up on Samsung however. All of my gadgets are Samsung, but since this is really a new innovative product, I anxiously await the sequel!
I would recommend for those using it to workout since that typically lasts about as long as the battery.

I love these earbuds. Sound is great, and volume range fine. The fit is very customizable, and I have no problem or concerns with them falling out, even while riding my bicycle. Sometimes, after 30 minutes or so, I'll need to adjust them but that's it.
The controls were very wonky when I first got them, but after a software update, they became much better but could still use some improvements. Sometimes my touch isn't registered, or is misinterpreted (maybe 5% of the time). Frustrating, but livable. If the earbuds would "remember" my settings or allow me to default things like volume level, ambient noise on, etc., it would make them much better..
I would LOVE to have either a built in locator, or an attachment point where I could add one. A "squeal" feature, like what's available with the S2 would be perfect. I live in constant fear that I'm going to lose the case.
My only outright disappointment with these is the ambient noise amplifier. I ride my bike and was hoping I could use these to enhance my ability to hear traffic coming up behind me. Nope. Just the very loud sound of wind rushing by, overpowering everything else. If this noise could be eliminated, that would be amazing.
Fix the ambient noise issue with wind, and I'd happily buy a second pair.

This product overall is a great piece of technology the only drawback I would say is the battery life but depend on how you use it you can get around it the charging case does come in handy if you're a lover of Technology and you like your music while you are working out or being active this is definitely the product for you

The sound and voice clarity is great. I don't use the workout apps feature, mostly use for wireless headset at work. Battery life is terrible, but nice that you can use one piece while charging the other. The charging station could use an on off switch, Kinda difficult to transport because every time you close the lid it charges the ear pieces and runs down the battery. Plus the battery runs down quickly unless you keep it on the charger.

This product has a perfect design, fit and concept. However the implementation is horrible. The battery cradle is designed to keep your wireless earbuds always charged and ready but after they are charged they then begin to drain the earbuds, it's a never ending cycle and your earbuds will spend more time on the charger than actually being used.
I recommend buying a product that has a true OFF switch.
*don't believe me, check the community forums, there's more unhappy people that what the reviews are stating.

I found the earbuds very comfortable but the battery doesn't last. I wanted to wear for snowmobiling and only got 2 hours. I was told they would last 3-4 hours if I didn't stream music.
I'll be getting a pair when the battery last longer.

Sound quality is excellent. Those complaining about it seem to have misread the manual or not read it at all. The manual is available in the gear app under the more options in the upper right. If you simply connect them to the computer and load media to the earbuds the sound quality will be compromised and will not be stereo. Each earbud has it's own memory and they need to be synchronized. Data on each earbud will automatically sync when the PC gear manager is opened. The PC gear manager program is actually stored within the earbuds. Simply open the iconx USB connection and look inside the tools folder, then use the gear manager install file.
These are extremely comfortable, have excellent sound quality, excellent touch controls, and do not move at all when running or working out; something I've never been able to say about other earbuds. The product is great! Just don't give up on it before putting in the effort to figure it out. Admittedly the quickstart guide is not very helpful, use the manual that is available through the gear app on your phone.have been waiting for really good cordfree earbuds forever...and these are pretty good. fit well, sound great, & even plays nice with my iphone....
but the battery life. the LONGEST i've noticed these lasting (and i did track this) is 70 minutes. weird how i keep seeing the battery life at 3 hrs in reviews.close, but until the battery can last longer than a workout, no cigar.

This review comes with the disclaimer that I haven't tried them with my phone. But, I LOVE these headphones. Every once in a while technology amazes me, and this is one of those times. No wires, no ipod, no worry about blue tooth breaking up; I just downloaded the songs I want to exercise to and I'm set. I bought some Beats wireless headphones for Black Friday and the wire connecting the 2 drives me crazy. The Beats also crackle some because I'm playing of my ipod. These are incredible, if you want headphones for exercise, buy these, they are so cool.

You should to be able to turn off the charging case because if your travelling or something if you leave them in the case the case will keep charging them and then the case will be dead, if you take them out they will turn on and connect to your phone and waste battery.

I absolutely love the concept of being fully wireless with the Samsung Gear Icon X. I feel like I am starting to become a cyborg with these in, listening to music, hearing the sound around me and reading vital signs. However, it is short lived as battery life is less than 2 hours if streaming music.
They fit snug and I haven't worried about them falling out yet. However, you have to really get them into your ear to get the best sound of them and it can be a little uncomfortable. Otherwise there isn't much bass and sound is high pitched sounding. It may take some variations of the different sized rubber pieces to get the perfect fit.
Touch controls are simple and voice prompts are soft with 15 different language options. However, they can be touchy, like starting and ending exercise events when you are simply trying to make an adjustment. I have found myself ending calls when all I was trying to do is adjust the ear bud or increase volume.
The charging case is a great place to keep each individual ear bud safe and clean. However, the case is not very rugged and can be easily bumped open in a pocket, preventing charge or causing damage. They charge to full in 30-45 minutes. However, as mentioned above they are not meant to be headphone replacements for extended time as they died in 1 hour 45 minutes just streaming music. However, if you store music on the 4GB internal storage, they can last up to 3 hours. I have extended the play time with them by using one ear bud at a time, though you have to switch the primary over to R or L before the battery dies, which timed out on me several times. An interesting thing though, as a straight MP3 player you can use either ear bud, so long as you stored music on them, simply by putting one in and tapping play. However, if you did not set them to shuffle with the Gear App, your playlist will start over, sorted by filename.
Sound quality is good enough to listen to music, but on the low end, especially when in a call. This is due to the Bluetooth codec used and not the more current Apt-X. They can get loud enough to drown out noise around you, but if you can't get the perfect fit you won't hear any bass. Also, if you are only using one, it can be really hard to hear a phone call. I found myself cupping my ear with one in, to hear better, only to end the call by accident.
Overall, I like the Samsung Gear Icon X but don't think they are at their full potential yet. They are not headphone replacements, but decent short term, multi-function, fully wireless ear buds. Maybe the next generation will be better with battery life and clarity.

I was skeptical, but I am a devoted Samsung consumer, so I kept an open mind.
They take some getting used to, mostly as far as swiping to the left and right to forward a song, and swiping up and down for the volume. Whenever I try to forward a song by swiping, I am adjusting the volume instead. But if you tap the earbud twice, it also advances the songs, so it is not a huge deal.
I love that I do not have to take my phone with me on a walk or run if I don't want to!! I actually loaded songs right onto the earbuds, and it was really easy! If you do take your phone with you, though, you can connect to many if not all of the music apps, such as Pandora, and Milk music.
The battery life is not wonderful, and I think that is my only complaint. It is good for about an 1 and a half.

When I first saw the Icon X I was super into the wireless headphone idea and with the new iphone I knew I wanted to invest in this pair. I was excited when I received my pair I immediately put them to charge and after 3 hours the lights on the charger turned green showing a good to go sign. I synced them onto my phone, and right away I could tell the quality was definitely not the best but it was manageable, what wasn't manageable was that after listening to about 2 songs the left earphone began getting uncomfortably hot, after another song I couldn't stand it anymore thankfully I didn't have to beat with it for long since the earphone died extremely quickly. At first I thought it may have been the way i had it in my ear or maybe I charged it for too long, I had no idea, so I placed them back in the charger and the lights where an orange color for what I assume is the fact that they needed to charge. I watched them attentively for the next few hours until the charge was complete and as soon as it turned green I took them out. Once again I synced the headphones and once again within minutes the left headphone became unbearable hot then died. It was really a surprise since my previous phone was a Galaxy Note Edge and that phone had extreme over heating issues. I really like a lot of Sansung products but this is definitely a reoccurring issue I've had with their products. I think the TV I purchased will be my last item from Samsung until I stop hearing about the exploding phones, and the over heating issues.

For design and durability a 5 but performance 1. As long as your just sitting and listening to music they are great but do anything and the music jumps out of sync and your listening to the same song on top of its self. Right ear then left ear while right ear plays next verse. Annoying! To get back in sync you have to turn off music. Remove them reinsert them turn music back on. And yes about every 10min if your on a treadmill or jogging. But they don't fall out!!!

I have been waiting for these to be available but was extremely disappointed once I had them.
Overall design and fit is great however the sound quality is poor, very tinny sounding with no bass at all. I could have lived with the sound quality because after all I would be using them while excising however the battery barely last an hour before getting low power warnings and then shutting of all together in the middle of a workout.

I love Samsung. I love that I can finally have a wireless ear buds. What I don't like is that the battery only lasted for about 1 hour 45 minutes. The length of my commute. I don't listen to music or videos often but when I am traveling I would like for the battery to last longer. I now have to make sure I travel with an extra set of earphones. This is the first time I have considered returning a product I purchased from Samsung.

I am very pleased with this product. I needed a pair of earbuds to do cardiovascular workouts with and they work very well. Not only for listening purposes but also for keeping track of my distance of walking and giving me my heartrate in intervals during my workout. This is an innovative feature to add to earbuds. To me the sound quality is great. Balanced bass and treble with a clear sound. For all the features that it has, it is worth the money. They are designed very well to fit snug in your ear where you don'the have to worry about them falling out. The battery life is short, but whats great is the carrying case that also serves as your base to recharge. Place them in the case and then you charge up ready to go again. Go Samsung!!!!!

Good product, fit good , Sound great, easy to link. I got a Samsung note 7 work great . The only downfall is the battery life is one hour for streaming music Bluetooth. Is ok for a work out at the gym . 2 .5 hours if you download the music to the ears set.

First off great design and feels really snug and secure. It will not fall out of your ear at any activity. I'm pretty sure you can bungee jump and they won't come out.
Splash resistance is a great feature nowadays so if it drops in a puddle you can act on the 3 second rule and you should be just fine.
Super intuitive and responsive to finger commands.
The charging case Is awesome and will last for two charges on the go.
The sound is crisp and clear with great base handling.
You are able make and receive phone calls however you will receive it in mono, meaning only the designated main earpiece will function. the call quality is amazing with no flaws.
4GIG of internal storage will give you around 2.5 hours of stand-alone play (not connected to a device via BT).
While connected to a device via BT you will get about an hours play and that is the only downfall of the product.
