I use two 7" tablets, and do everything I once did and more with a large screen HP/COMPACT laptop, quite expensive in those days. I always needed a tecnnicians to FIX snags etc.
And with these little 7" tablets NEVER a problem, with a 2 year guarantee, and excellent fast Samsung repair service Turkey/Izmir.
So thank you SAMSUNG, so far 2 years...great, also value for money!

I only had this a week before it stopped working. I returned it today. I'm very disappointed, I've always been a fan of Samsung. Also I didn't realize it was a 2016 model. I can't believe there still selling a tablet that outdated.

Would never recommend. Simply, 8 gb is almost useless (the tablet O/S itself uses over 3 gb). I am constantly clearing cache to free up more space. I have 64 gb SD card, but most apps can't be worked from the card. I love the convenience of a tablet, bUT I'd never go below 16 gb. Totally frustrating. As well, the battery life is poor, both on my tablet and my Samsung phone. Samsung, you've got work to do.

I decided to buy this little tablet because it was compact. I was getting tired of how small my Apple iPod touch was when I traveled abroad. The first time I saw this device was in Spain at a Landmark, they had these for audio guides. Once I went back home, I did my research, and saw that it was on sale. I am going to use this mini tablet for when I travel. I noticed that this tablet has a radio icon, it plays local radio stations. Which I thought was cool. One of the reason why I bought this. However, there are flaws, the hard drive memory is ONLY 8 mb, very small, I wish the device memory could be 16. I'm happy that there is a mini SD card slot to widen the memory... and since the Device is like 3 yrs old. The OS is a bit outdated. It's using lollipop android OS , I really wish Samsung can upgrade the OS to a more current version. Since Samsung galaxy 10 smartphones are out, I thought they can upgrade their tablet to the same technology as their smartphones. I feel so outdated using it. The music quality is great, the photo quality is stunningly clear and sharp. The only thing that bothers me is the outdated operating system. Everything else is cool. You can purchase it. But please do you research and homework first, and please shop around.

I bought the tablet or year ago and two days ago it did an update of software. tablet rebooted but it's in a constant reboot as far as I can get is to the screen that has the name of the company and that's all

Brand new from Samsung, had it for two days now, constant dropping of WIFI, while other devices both Android and IOS work perfectly. Apps are slow to open, some won't open, and a few I can't even get to download (Ebay for one). Being a huge Samsung fan, anda past/present customer this is dissapointing. Will update this review as warranted.

I've just bought this tablet, because I need a small tablet and from all of 7" tablet i thought that Samsung would be the best. Unfortunately, I believed for the seller who stated that this device is coming with Android 7, but it comes only with a quite old Android (5.1). It's a shame that Samsung is still selling tablets with Android 5 without any option to upgrade to a newer Android version.

I have an older version of this model - SM-T230NU - and wouldn't give it up for anything. I do a lot of "remote" hiking, where I'm on the trail for days with nothing but my backpack, and this tablet goes with me. It's invaluable to use after the sun goes down and before it's time to crawl into the sleeping bag. I use it for the eReader (Overdrive), MP4 movies, Animated Knots (by Grog) application, and a few strategy games that make me think. Battery life is unbeatable - I get about 30 minutes of video for 5% of the battery, and have no issues using it for the entire backpacking trip from the initial full charge.
I'm glad to see Samsung still offering the 7" model - it's PERFECT for holding and not needing to squint, and there are a lot of us out there who don't want a huge screen in front of us. I'm also happy they offer one that's wi-fi only, because this tablet, for my use, is never connected (no need to) except when I need to check out more eBooks from my library.
Combined with my Fintie leatherette folder this unit fits perfectly within, I'm a happy Samsung customer.

I didn't expect much from this tablet, as it is a cheaper price tag, and on a lower version of Android than my phone is. However I have no complaints: it runs well, battery life is surprisingly good. It does all the things I need it to for school. I usually find tablets have awkward interfaces but I really like the setup for this one. Would definitely recommend.

I bought this thinking 8 gigs is fine if I can just add an SD card to it. But, because it's runs Lollipop and never got the marshamallow upgrade, the SD card is useless because Lollipop won't let you put apps on the SD card. If you want to actually use this tablet for things other than reading, you should find another tablet.
I'm horrible disappointment with the tablet and disappointed that Samsung didn't release a marshmallow upgrade to this tablet when it was released just a couple months before marshmallow was released. I don't think I'll ever purchase another samsung device.

This was a great tablet for a little over a year; no complaints. I bought a very good spongy, cushiony, thick green rubbery cover for it, and took really good care of it, never dropping it, taking special care when plugging it up to charge (doing it slowly and carefully), never leaving it with the screen exposed. Then one day, about 6 months after the warranty expired, I was using it, set it down with screen turned off, and when I picked it up just a few minutes later, I had in my hand a brick. No warning, dead as a doornail, never to show a spark of life again. I have an older Tab 4 that's still going strong and never given any problem. I wouldn't recommend the Tab A.

After two Asus tablets that broke within two years, this one tops all tablets I've seen for the quality.
I use this thing for everything, everyday (I don't have a phone), and now at two years and a half is still going without any issue as it always has, except the battery doesn't charge as well as when I got it.
But get this - I bought it refurbished. And still, it's great.
The features are a little scarce - it doesn't have app predicting AI or crazy camera options, but the main use was never targeted toward that for me more than the price.
The camera is okay. An example picture is included. I honestly use this more for editing pictures than taking them.
The performance is okay, compared to the higher-end availabilities offered. It can lag a bit if a lot of heavy apps are running. It isn't lightning fast when navigating around either.
It also actually fits in my jeans pocket, with a bit of patients.
If you can afford it, get a 32gb. 8 is NOT enough, and I have no games or pictures on internal - just a few office-related constantly-updating apps.
It runs Android 5.1.1 which is a little outdated for me, and I've been running out of storage for about a year now with my 8gb.
These are both reasons I am getting a new phone now (Google Pixel), but I may still keep this nifty tab for the in-between computer and phone moments for picture editing, research, reading and video watching.

What can I say? This is such a bad tablet. Worst performance ever. Doesn,t pick up strong Wi-Fi signal, very clunky between applications, bad camera quality, kiddy looking icons. Samsung should have done better than this. Dave your money and buy something better.

I like this little tablet. I bought this while my other Samsung tablet was being repaired. It is the same as my 10.1; however, I miss the screen swipe from my bigger tablet. I don't like the inconvenience of having to hold 2 buttons to take a screenshot.

Cheap tablet with great display. The lack of Android OS updates (my version is stuck at 5.1.1) and the inability to locate the apps on the SD card is a huge disappointment. I would recommend getting the 16GB version because with the 8GB version I get constant out of memory notifications even though I installed an 128GB SD card.

it says it's connected to the internet with a very strong connection but it does not work with the Wi-Fi.
I have powered it on and off. I have canceled out the WiFi info and reset it several times. Nothing works very disappointed I would like my money back

Yes, the tablet comes with 8gb of memory; however, 4 of that 8gb is system memory. Leaving 4gb for apps including samsung built-in apps that can use up all of you memory without even being used which means depending on the apps sizes your tablet could be all out of memory with just 10 of your favorite apps installed. Buyer beware!

I have password set up on my tablet everything I want to get on my tablet it constantly shuts off evendors when typing my password in. It takes 7-15 times trying to get on. I find that extremely frustrating I like this tablet but I have come close to taking it back all because of that issue.

My son bought me this tablet for Mother's Day, and it has yet to receive the Marshmallow update. We tried to return it in exchange to get something else, but the Electronics department at Walmart said we have had it too long. Yet, the Customer Service department says that we can return it and get something else. It's a good tablet nonetheless, but it is ridiculous that Samsung and Google have failed to update a new product like this to Android Marshmallow and even Android Nougat.

I had had 2 other cheaper similar tablets prior to purchasing this Galaxy tablet . The Samsung Galaxy totally outperforms my previous tablets . Not being a guy who really needs a lap top or pc/Mac I really wanted a reliable tablet that allows me to do what I want/need to do online .
